We caught up with Ria Burrage-Male, Chief Exec of Hockey Wales and Laura Fergusson, Head of Markets and Operations at Global Wales to find out why they are so proud of our Welsh men's team heading to the Hockey World Cup in Bhubaneswar this January, what they love about Wales, and why it's the perfect place for international students to study.

Meet Luke Hawker.

Not only is he Captain of Wales Senior Men’s Hockey team, Luke is also a Commonwealth Games athlete, Director of Hockey, lecturer and Cardiff Metropolitan University alumni... how’s that for a busy schedule!? 

We chatted to Luke to find out how he’s feeling about heading to India for the World Cup, and why he wanted to stay in Wales after graduating.

Meet Owain Dolan-Gray

A stalwart of the Senior Men’s squad, Owain has returned home to his roots to study part-time at Cardiff University

Rupert has been a part of the senior men’s squad since his debut against Spain in 2014. 

The Cardiff University Alumnus has represented Wales at 3 European championships and a Commonwealth Games, and is currently part of the Great Britain squad.
