Bangor University helps students realise their career goals with industry partnerships, internships and career-focused learning pathways Our new Careers Studio, open 10am-3pm Monday-Friday during term time, support students to develop skills for future employment, including; finding an internship, programmes to develop entrepreneurial skills, writing a good CV,  job interview preparation, and career planning.

CareerConnect

Students and graduates of Bangor University have access to CareerConnect to find opportunities, complete Skills Pathways; online courses to help you prepare for your dream job, career guidance, events and resources. There is no wonder Bangor University has achieved a 5 Stars Global Rating for Employability (QS Star Rating System).

CareerConnect hosts the University's Student Employment Bureau; and advertise the following opportunities:

Careers and Employability

All of our undergraduate degrees give students the opportunity to gain work experience, options include:

  • Placement Year working in industry. A standard 3-year degree will become a 4-year degree.
  • Three month work placement.
  • Two week work placement.
  • International Experience Year, the option to work or study overseas for up to a year. A standard 3-year degree will become a 4-year degree.

 

Our postgraduate degrees aim to improve your employability in different ways. This may include:

  • Access to industry standard facilities and equipment.
  • Professional accreditation.
  • Work on real-life case studies or projects.
  • Linking with one of our partner organisations to undertake your dissertation.
